Order server choice
Hi everyone! Well on Monday, servers were down, and Sleiyn, Vallios, Elola, Moe, Eder and myself rolled on Darklands to see what it was like.
Originally a few of us, including myself, did not want to roll order on an Oceanic sever, being that we will can avoid non-rp and silly names like megaman and tellytubbie. But our short experience there was good. Had a short queue before being able to log in and population was high.
This made us re-think our server choice for Order from Ostermark to Darklands.
We had a short discussion and main benefits of an oceanic order server are:
1. For us living in oceanic timezones, Mythic brings our servers down for maintanance/updating etc. At a later time, example 1:30am Singapore time and not 7-9pm during our primetime.
2. For our friends playing Destruction on Phoenix Throne and myself, if the NA servers go down, there is the order server to go visit as it should not go down at the same time being oceanic.
2. Population will be high, meaning scenarios, PQ's, RvR when we're 40, etc.
Downsides are:
1. Being Oceanic and non-rp, we will occasionally get silly non-rp names that may bug the heck out of us.
I'm currently playing a lv 23 Black Ork on Phoenix Throne, but may decide to play Order seriously with Jammy, and now we just need a order server to start.
I know we have friends who already rolled on Ostermark which was supposed to be our Order server, but what do you guys think about switching to Darklands?
