Default Daughters drawings ...

Dara may remember some of my old sketches from the Urtain days (wish I had more foresight and kept drawings from my youth ...), but my 13 year old daughter has surpassed my mediocre skills.

This is her profile page with some of her artwork. She is into the anime scene mainly. I've wanted to steer her clear of being the next "starving artist" ... but her heart is really in it. I'm very proud of her work, although she doesn't think very much of her own skills.

Default Wow!

Those are fantastic. You'll have to let her know Aly and myself think they are great!

Hehe, aye, I still have your original Grak sketch kickin' around here somewhere!

Your daughter's stuff is quite impressive... moreso at only 13!! Very happy to see she's taken to the Japanese animation style... having been an Animé "enthusiast" (hahaha, it's in quotes because it's such a politically correct understatement ) for more than 3 decades, it always warms me heart when the youth of today seem to "get it".

I've got two "starving artist" friends... and while they're not the richest of people in the $$ sense, they're definitely happier than most... so there's something to be said about that. I expect I'd be a bit happier if I followed my passions more than I do.

That's very impressive, especially for her age.

And don't forget, she can always use those skills to get into Computer Art areas, maybe do some video game (or yea even comics or her own anime flicks) artwork herself. You never know, doesn't always have to be the starving kind of artist *grins*

So --- wow these are good!
