Ill probly be playing on both from time to time, but seems more people want to do mid, so mid it is.

I will probly do... SM/shaman duo, or maybe a warlock/shaman :)

For mid, i see our best RvR in the role of zerg busting (as opposed to the l33t 8v8).

All midgard classes are pretty solid for rvr, while some do better than others in PvE.

besides the obligatory healers and shamans, we will need tanks, speedsters, and casters.
Cant really go wrong with any of the mid casters, in order of RvR usefulness id rank them as:

1. SM - suppression
2. Warlock - cursing/hex
3. BD - supression
4. RM - darkness (or dark SM)

tanks i rank for PvP:
1. Warrior/Savage
2. Skald/Beserker
3. Thane/Valkriye

(please note all mid tanks are good at PvE)

Support classes come in a few flavors, also ranked for RvR/PvE:

1. Pac healer/Aug Shaman
2. Aug healer
3. cave/aug shaman

The core of any mid group is 2 healers, 1 shaman, 1 skald, fill in any DPS. The healers may need to coordinate the levels of Pac and aug between themselves. If we end up with a lot of tanks, then we will want a higher aug healer (resists, celerity, haste).

i've always wanted to try midgard so i'll probably try a few classes out.

the ones i fancy at the moment are,

Spiritmaster
Savage
B'Dancer
and Healer (and probably a skald as i hate not having speed :) )

I'll prolly go healer and savage or skald. Shamen do the neverending endurance, right? Do you have to spec for that specially or is that on the baseline?

can never have too many shamans, a high aug/mid cave spec will get ya into almost any group. They are the spec buffers and yes have to spec for endurance buff.

most shaman spec to low 40s in aug to get the yellow endurance (end 4) and almost every mid is required to get longwind 1 for perma sprint ability.

Skalds we may have a surplus from what im hearing, so if ya havent set your heart on it, i might suggest savage :)

Word on the street is that the Valkyrie is Mid's only gimped class, so ye know that it HAS to be me choice. ^o^ I also hear that the most common specs are either spear-centric or sword&board...so I'll be avoiding those if I can. ;) If ye see any 2-handed swords layin' about, do please hang onto 'em for me if ye can...I have a feeling they'll be useful. ^_^ hehehehee

well If it's mid, it's mid....

I'll prolly miss the first few days, as we are headed up to grand ol NYC to pick up and move my aunt

I'll prolly bounce around a couple classes in mid afore I find one that fits (was so set on Friaring, but I really don't want to play on a server that will surely become known as Lame-o or lamer)

If you guys get a big head start, post details of wheres and whens, and I'll catch up I'm sure :)

REALLY looking forward to this server!

Actually I wouldn't be surprised if the server population gets capped cause it becomes so popular initially. I mean, the first couple of brand new servers since the mordred ruleset... and delivering the promise of reasonably level RvR... most people would be trying it out even if they didnt plan to stay.

I'm more incline to "naturalists" role...

Ahem pardon my 'Hibernia' talk :o I've only played a Hib 98% of my time in DAOC =P

Er... So I reckon either a shammie or healer for me that means? :p
