My Dad is traveling to Victoria and Vancouver in a month or so and he wants to know how bad the mosquitos are. I'd be worried about the guys with swords and bloody chainsaws myself, but, you know, different strokes...

It depends on where you are. If you're around a lot of shrubbery watch out. ;) I got eaten alive last week...Just sitting outside my dad's place for a half hour talking with my step mom. I got a total of like...*counts* 20 mosquito and fly bites between both my legs....I should have known better than to be wearing shorts. *smirks* In the city obviously it's really not an issue... Of course I'm the only one in the household that gets bitten...I've had that problem all my life...bugs just love to chow down on me....bleah... Ruden never gets bitten!

The fly bites are worse than the skeeter bites. They itch like hell...and you can actually feel them biting you...it stings like crazy.

So....in short...if he's going to be around trees and forest and stuff...tell him he really should wear repellant. If he's gonna be in the city...then tell him that it shouldn't be an issue. Depends on location. *smiles*

When are YOU coming to visit...HMMMMM? Ruden's gotten to meet you and I haven't yet....and quite frankly...I'm a bit put out.... *grins* J/K....well actually I would love to!

Although methinks I might scare people. Muhahahaha.

Vancouver and Victoria are beauuutiful! You're so lucky.

By the way, no need to worry about chainsaw wielders since they all walked across the border into the US. The border patrol thought the chainsaw was a bit peculiar but hey it could have been paint... or rust..

Ha, I ain't scared o' you!

Believe me, if I get the chance, I'll be up there. My Dad tried to talk me into going with them up to Vancouver, but we've already got a vacation planned out. Quite a few years ago we took a trip up through Washington but alas I didn't know you guys then. Heh, not sure you knew each other then. But if I ever get within striking distance, I'll be there for sure.

Thanks for the info!
