View Full Version : "Sith" (a short review)
Whew...what a ride! ^_^ I'm a bit of a zombie, after getting only 2.5 hours sleep, but it was worth it! ;) A combination of jaw-dropping special fx, incredible battle sequences (both ship and saber), powerful drama, awesome acting, crappy acting, great dialogue, really lame dialogue, so-so directing, excellent cinematography, and duplicitous plot. =) This movie was all over the place, but overall I really enjoyed most of it. =D hehehe
Now if you'll excuse me, I'm off to go see it again. :D

heh, I'll see it sometime this weekend after the lines get shorter.
:) Sounds like fun!
I saw it last night, and today im depressed :(
I think most likely cause its over, and there is nothing else to look forward to.
Yes it was good and just about everything i had hoped for, but I cant help but feel like i lost something.
I need a new hope!
I think most likely cause its over, and there is nothing else to look forward to.Actually...there is! =) Nae only will there be a 3D/CG animated mini-series tied closely to the Clone Wars mini-series (which was awesome), but e'en more exciting than that is a live action prime-time television series!! =D Lucas made the announcement when he was down here back in March...he claims he'll be involved heavily with the first season of the show, then will let other folk take the reigns after that. The budget is reported to be pretty hefty, but Lucas is aiming for 4 full seasons. The time period will be between episodes III and IV, so expect some intense jedi-hunting episodes! ^_^ But likely only minimal involvement with the main characters of the movies...if at all. Still, it means more Star Wars, so I'm lookin' forward to it! =)

Is Lucas secretly planning another Star Wars trilogy? (http://www.chron.com/cs/CDA/ssistory.mpl/ae/jump/3191250)

It was Ok. The scenes on Kashyyk (sp?) were especially believable, but the Wookies didn't have enough to do.

Well, you know me, so I will keep this short and sweet.
*** possibly little mini-spoiler below ... not really though :P ***
Phantom and Clones, in my opinion, were mediocre productions. I wont rehash, I know my opinion is unpopular, but it's still how I feel. Sith was better, but as Dara mentioned above, the acting and dialog were still bordering on horrendous (although a few actors did decent jobs despite the bad script). The special effects were of the highest quality and well done, but in my opinion, more often than not wasteful, confusing and unrealistic. My eyes were so sore from rolling them ...
In a world of spaceships and driods, when Kenobi is seen riding on a rainbow-colored giant Iguana that barks incessentantly like a wierd bird dog, my eyes almost popped out of their sockets from excessive rolling.
But, as usual, the lightsaber duels and hand-to-hand scenes were done well and were entertaining. Sound and music were as usual, excellent, and you'd have to be dead to atleast not be entertained by the movie ... even if it was cornier than Home Alone.
